The other day certain people were lauding the police for getting 'stuck in' and 'taking no prisoners', today they're getting beaten up and their vans set on fire by the same people
When I venture outside the people I follow, I find it fascinating/interesting and depressing. It's definitely good to read other viewpoints, but it seems that there is so much extreme views, with little balance or nuance, particularly from the right.

I don't see what the police did as OTT, it seems reasonable and understandable in the circumstances, EXCEPT for the kick and particularly the stamp to the head whilst the bloke was lying face down on the floor after being tasered. The stamp in that situation is way out of line IMO.

Around the time of her budget the unfunded tax cuts resutled in the interst rates on UK gilts to increase rapdily. Some people are still payign the price for that. It's true that she didnt directly affcet the BoE base rate.
I'm not sure, the policeman kicks and stamps on a person's head, whilst they're not moving and laying on the ground.
Does the context significantly mitigate how serious that is?
I don't think it will do, but maybe when we know the full story, if we ever do...
