I got shot down in flames a few years ago for coming up with this suggestion, so bearing in mind the apparent lack of rolling stock affecting rail travel for mid-week games I thought I’d put this out again :
Is it possible for the club to charter an eight coach train to carry out a shuttle...
I tried that once, and yes it was raining, thinking this is a clever ploy. The result was two Brighton bound trains pulled in while I was still waiting for the Lewes train. Best laid plans and all that.
It’s always been like this! When we played Liverpool in the League Cup (again!) back in September 2011 there were queues going all the way down Queens Road, and that’s when we had a capacity of 22,000+. I’m not sure that you can blame the club for the transport issues, after all it was Falmer or...
I don’t how much the club pay the train and bus companies for subsidising the fans travel costs but I decided to do a rough, very rough!, calculation on how much train travel would cost to/from Brighton to Falmer. Here goes :
Adult Return Fare - £4.30
Anticipated number of fans using trains -...
I would question that point. The club presumably pay Southern or whoever for providing extra trains to cope with the demand that comes with having a 30,000 crowd every match day on an annual basis. For Saturday 3.00 fixtures the process is generally okay. As soon as a fixture date is changed to...
Of course he’ll blame Southern as everyone else will. They are the transport provider and they don’t provide, and they’ll trot out the same old excuses as to why not. I’m sure Jack Albion would be able to elaborate more on this problem.
Yep. I agree with that but then Chelsea owners might at last be seeing the light. They have gone through seven managers (including Bruno as interim) in the last four years.
Shirley the clusterf*** was Todd and his chums upstairs, firstly appointing GP and secondly reneging on all the promises of allowing him to develop and build a new team a la Brighton. Six months is hardly time to do that. Still, it took God nearly a week to get Earth up and running. He took one...
