Tadpoles are voracious meat eaters. Shove a bit in and you'll see. :)
25 years ago I found some bullfrog tadpoles in a garden centre. Since this thread is here I'll share the story via the poem I wrote about it.
Quite a few came into the country then. We made sure they didn't escape into the...
One good striker and a word with the NUGC (National Union of Goalposts and Crossbars) about their conspiracy against us and we'll be top half next year :)
We didn't need to, it was already over, thanks to the universal revulsion. If this had gone on for a week I reckon the call for a boycott of the 'Big Six' would have been everywhere across the country.
Fan power destroyed the ESL in a day. I don’t say this often, but hats off to the Chelsea fans who delayed kick off last night by 15 minutes and celebrated when the news came through.
(Decent point, that. Should have been three. AGAIN.)
Such a ludicrous idea, created by a cabal of isolated...
Take out most of the green gloop, put the tadpoles back, add pond weed. Weed creates oxygen, they need that, plus they eat a small amount of green gloop and the weed. When much bigger (May/June) they love tiny bits of meat/bacon occasionally. Make sure the pond is well oxygenated generally.
Well said.
As so many times before, so proud to support this club.

Why should the fans of those clubs be forced into some plastic league at the behest of some plutocrat?
We took that risk of points deductions in 1997 with pitch invasions etc and the resultant furore brought our plight into the public eye like nothing else.
And if the PL kicked us out for...
Cometh the moment, cometh the club.
With our history, Brighton & Hove Albion FC is absolutely the right club to tell Chelsea:
'If you’re still in the ‘European Super League’ at 8pm tonight, we’re not playing you. And we call on all other Premier League clubs to adopt the same stance and for...
When he was injured at Withdean he'd pop into the PA box sometimes and I had a few chats with him. He came across as an extremely clever, articulate bloke with a real all round grasp of football and he can speak vast amounts of languages. Of course if how many goals you've scored for a big...
If at the bottom of a primeval swamp in an isolated atoll on the planet Ennui in the distant galaxy of Tedium there lives a colony of single celled creatures devoid of the capacity for thought, they will nevertheless have more interest in everything Saxe-Coburg-Windsor than I do.
Sorry, can't be bothered to scroll through to see if that has been mentioned already, but USG used to be one of the most successful clubs in Belgium, and their stadium is a right old characterful affair. I watched them a few times when I lived in Brussels in the late 70s and have been a few more...
I wrote this to get it off my chest! Still think we'll probably be OK .
I tend to celebrate the fact that we have got nine-elevenths of the team playing so beautifully in the PL rather than two elevenths are so useless/unlucky (your choice)
If I am going to 'apportion blame' for the latter...
I just think it’s how it is. We haven't really done strikers for years.
We could sign a non-league clogger of a centre half or midfielder and turn them into the next Lewis Dunk or Alexis Mac Allister but if we signed Lionel Messi he’d turn into Mark Farrington.
4-6-0 from now on :)
The recipient of the headbutt is well known to many on here :)
It is really great news after 20 years of decline.
The future of Southwick 1882, reborn from the ashes of the old club, is indeed secure. The team is top of the Mid Sussex League Championship with eight wins out of eight and set to...
Just to let you know - well done to all involved and thanks to the Russell Martin Foundation :) 139 years of history preserved.
And fittingly we get the news the day after Fans United anniversary - it has been another big community effort albeit on a tiny scale compared to the Albion...
~I have never done the 'thumb' thing on here before, believe it or not, and when I pressed it it went red, so I hope you haven't had a thumbs down for the Velvets responses, wasn't my intention if so :)
Of course the fickle pendulum has reversed now that Graham Potter's beautiful art project has added a goal. Perhaps we're moving forward from the Velvet Underground to 'Transformer' era Lou Reed now. Ideal, of course, for the less experimentally minded who just want a Perfect Day. But in...
