What pisses me off is the customer who’s had a disaster with inexperience and a cheap price has now called the competent guy who was probably double the price in the first place and expects it to be rectified for next to nothing as the money has left the job.
I hate rectifying a mess it’s easier...
I was looking at a block of new flats being built the other day the brick work was wonky as shit on one particular section on the ground floor stood out like a sore thumb.
My Wife and daughter went said they had a ball. I dropped them off and picked them up which was easy. I spent the waiting time in the Westfield Casino just down the road.
This would be superb they will be crying for Ten bags back before Christmas 🤣
I feel a little uncomfortable mocking another club with our manager and his suicidal tactics at present though.
I reply with say you a family member get seriously injured or worse someone is going to come straight for me saying I didn’t do the job correctly regardless what was said at the time.
I do the job correctly for a fair amount or not at all.
I take pictures of everything now you just never know...
I don’t think Mira’s are what they were, they are struggling to compete with triton prices and the quality has reduced in my view. If it’s a straight swap model for model it’s easily one hours work I’ve done them in half hr before especially if it’s a grungy tenant with a mouldy shower tray🤣
I find the expensive showers are a pain for going wrong. The £60 tritons I install for landlords I very rarely hear from them again if at all.
DIYers have a habit of installing 6mm cable for every shower I can smell the isolation switch burning away before I get my tools out 🤣
10mm t/e is not...
If you are there for a day it often works out cheaper to park in the residents bay and take the ticket. Madness really why can’t tradesman pay a set fee a year and be able to park in residents bays. I would happily pay £400 a year.
Plus you would have had to install either a separate RCD or update the board & run a new supply from board. So about £800 later his shower may be suitable for use.
