I wonder what’s happening there. A couple of years ago it appeared Alford were looking to climb the divisions. When they put in a new stand I was told they managed to get some claret Burnley seats - perfect colour.
I gave up reading Dickens in the original text. I have read and really enjoyed abridged versions. I put it down to the originals being written for periodicals and so the cliff hanger element called for multiple characters and plots which for me didn’t make an enjoyable read. Perhaps it’s time to...
My sister in law used to buy me the Booker Prize winner each year for Christmas. I didn’t read Wolf Hall (not more from the well mined Tudor seam) and was about to give it and Bring up the Bodies to the library (unread hardbacks) when I thought it seemed a bit ungrateful not to give them a go...
We were going on a touring holiday and my darling had thought the time in the car might maybe easier listening to this. I anted to switch it off by the top of the M23 but we got as far as Leicester. Absolute codswallop to me.

Nope. I’ve not a clue what’s going on. I gave up trying to understand football finance a long time ago. We have the good fortune to follow a remarkable club in remarkable times.
It’s too easy to write people off. It’s a results business so I can see why people do write him off. But given time, we’ll see. I wish him all the best.
I respect the bloke and wish him well. And Argyle are a great club. Like all managers he needs time, the backing of the board, and patience of the support.
Unfortunate opening day defeat for the Barrowmen at home to Merstham. A moment of stupidity resulted in a well taken penalty and the only goal of the afternoon. A decent crowd including many Merstham fans enjoyed the sunshine and the afternoon. FA Cup next weekend!
