Trimmed the SB down to 21:35 but nudged AG over the 70% to 70.04 on a surprisingly windy Prom this morning. Ninja Elephant looked to be storming it again.
Up to 14 miles tomorrow as the distances sneak up week by week.
Absolutely nothing to worry about.
Parkrun’s mantra is that it’s a RUN not a RACE. Even that is not quite true as many people will walk some or even all of it. There are lots of people trying out parkrun for the first time at this time of the year.
Hove Prom is particularly supportive of this...
Just downloaded the 5k parkrunner App. It’s full of useful and useless stats which should keep any parkrun geek happy for hours!
This is the future - no more discussion about SBs, PBs and AGs or even alphabets- who is closest to completing the Pirate Challenge? Have you managed the Groundhog...
Back to the excellent Fourth and Church for lunch over the weekend. They’ve removed the deli counter and now got a stylish and nicely lit bar seating area, so the set up is much more restaurant plus wine shop although you can still buy cheeses.
Had the charcuterie platter, salmon gravadlax...
Good weekend. 21:39 at Hove Park (SB if anyone is doing table updates) and a solid 12 miles on the Downs this morning after boozy dinner at The Urchin last night. Love running on days like this, bit of sun, soft underfoot and a decent temperature.
There were exactly 1999 participants across the five B&H parkruns today - if only one more person had turned up!
(We went to Clair so also guilty )
Doubled up for 21:47/22:33 - held up at the start by the crowds at Hove Park, so overall pretty even for the two runs. Then cycled home/shower/cycled to Amex/cycled home and slept most of the rest of the afternoon. Good to see various members of the NSC contingent at both events or for coffee in...
I’m cashing out at 1090 miles for the year which is my best by some 130 miles.
On the watch front, as ever a lot depends on your budget but, the Garmin forerunner 235 is probably one of the most popular out there for ‘typical’ runners. Costs around £170 though. The only drawback is it isn’t...
23:30 for me at Myrtle near Bradford. Tough little four lapper including a section through a muddy field which softened you up before the climb back up the hill. Good enough for 17th place and an age category win.
Back on the road south now with dodgy Talksport commentary - see you at Hove Prom...
22:23 and 36th place at Bradford for me this morning. Nice course and lots of festive cheer. Got to decide where to go on Saturday now - Myrtle?
Happy Christmas everyone - have a great day!
