I guess it depends on what you/we consider continuing to progress. No club of our size is going to be able to consistently challenge the top 6 let alone the top four or for the title so with that in mind there's clearly a limit to upward league position progression and I think we're pretty...
Michael Kiwanuka is amazing. He'll be well worth watching. As will Idles, Fontaines D.C, P.J Harvey and the National.
Plenty of other acts who should be pretty decent too.
Admittedly the headliners on the pyramid stage aren't exactly awe inspiring but I'm sure there's enough there without...
It'd be nice if we could find our groove again, play near our best and get a win so we can go into the two week break on a wave of positivity.
We're not going to overturn a four goal deficit but we're right in the hunt for 6th/7th and more European football next year so if we can go into the...
I really liked him when he was with us - he was an excellent player who was our first and only real game changer for the first three years of his time with us. He carried our attack for those years, when he played well our attack fired, when he didn't it didn't.
I'm disappointed in how it...
I think I predicted 7-4 to the Albion in the last game against Roma. what I obviously meant was 7-4 over the two legs. Obviously.
So that means I'm going 7-0 to the Albion for tomorrow's game.
It doesn't do it for me. I'm just not going to get apoplectic with rage if someone waves a photo of the palace badge or the says something mean about the queen to me.
Did it work on anyone? Were there Brighton fans jumping up and down in fury at the temerity of showing the palace badge? If...
That made me chuckle.
Is chuckling the intended response or was it meant to be offensive? And are we the first British side to play them since she died or do they bust that banner out every time?
Maybe we could get them back by making a banner saying Romanes Eunt Domus?
I have some sympathy with your viewpoint just not necessarily the timing and overly dramatic phrasing. I'm not a fan of the pile on threads after defeats which is what this thread essentially comes across as(whether intended or not). If you'd started this thread with slightly more moderate...
Yes and no.
We all get frustrated, disappointed and angry at results and performances and here is as good a place as any to let off that steam but we don't need endless knee jerk threads. Just have a rant in the match thread and move on.
There'll be better debate on any of these subjects when...
On a related note I've just watched De Rossi's post match interview. His English is excellent. Why/how did that happen? He spent his whole career at Roma didn't he? How has he got such good English?
Edit: ignore this post. Just spotted there is already a thread on it. And it's the thread...
