Minteh looks great. I like Barco. Yalcouye and Osman look like loan candidates to me. We need a RB and some PL ready reinforcements in midfield. We also need a better GK than Steele between the sticks in 3 weeks time.

I think he could be a late in the window decision. We’re clearly in the market for a new RB/RWB but we’re chasing some big fish and I suspect if we land one he’ll move and if we don’t, he’ll stay.

I agree with your assumptions and your conclusion. Although I think Baleba may be the understudy for Wieffer. That leaves two CMs - one box to box and one more attacking. I think we have options for the more attacking one (Buonanotte, Enciso), although the Croat chap would give us another...

My assumption is that those 2 are the main option and back up for the ‘number 6s’. My concern is I don’t think (with Pascal going) we have anyone at all suitable for the ‘number 8’. KDH would have been ideal. Presumably Gomez would be one but we need another

We desperately need to sign some senior midfielders who are ready to go straight into the first XI. Missing out on KDH looks an even bigger problem now.

He’s a good player. Is he quite good enough as a starter for a side with top 8 aspirations? I’d say no. If £15m could be put with some from the coffers to go and get a more athletic upgrade then it wouldn’t be bad business imo.

This is it. Kane playing with a back injury looked very poor as well. I know players play with injuries all the time, but we had two (Ferguson and Pervis) who I think with hindsight should never have been playing (also true of Kane in the Euros!)

The glass half full way of looking at it is that his poor form was almost certainly due to carrying/playing through a serious injury and hopefully he’ll come back closer to the player we all think he can be
