The most worrying aspect of last night's MOTD was observing just how toothless we appear compared to most other clubs at the moment. A breather and Uncle Tony's comprehensive summer stock-take is badly needed.
I am looking at several lovely acers in the garden from my dining room/office. Sadly Mrs H is this acer expert and all were bought and planted rather than grown from seed. Sadly I have no wisdom to impart (so what's new).
A very lovely plant though. Best of luck with Project Pot. That...
Agreed. That’s why I hope calm heads prevail and all concerned have a bit of a breather this summer.
I was merely musing on what Tony may or may not be thinking.
Which I admit is a pointless activity.
I would love to know what’s going on in Uncle Tony’s head. There’s obviously been much talk of RDZ feeling he’s not been supported as much as he’d like in terms of squad development but it’s possible Bloom is looking on and thinking he’s getting a poor return on his investment.
I don’t reckon...
There’s a thing. The organisation was superb this year. Loads of lavatories with very reasonable queue times in Preston Park. Walked straight up to the bag drop and no time at all to collect.
The app had the potential to be very good but they’ll need to get turbocharged Wi-Fi in Preston...
Shocker!
I knew a tough day was in the post. I simply have not been able to put in the required miles this year and it really showed. 45 minutes slower than last year at 5:16 but the lovely thing was, with the time shot, I gave into it, enjoyed the ride and stopped to chat with friends on...
Sunday will be my 6th Brighton Marathon (14th in all). I’m just a fun runner. 4:31 was my best, last year, shortly after turning 50. I’m expecting little but pain on Sunday though. A new job has meant upending a shift structure that gave me lots of late shifts, allowing me oodles of training...
Absolutely. Fair point well made. Not going to argue with that.
Was just referring to the UK context, in which we took the risk in bringing him over and easing him into the first team gradually, rather than simply slapping him in there and seeing how it went. Was aiming for brevity because I...
I can’t quite compute the emotions I feel watching Mac Allister these days. Pride in the knowledge that Little Old Albion found him, nurtured him and sent him on his way to the biggest honour the game has to offer. Excitement at what he might yet go on to achieve. Warmth in knowing that it’s...
Whoa, there buddy! Them’s fighting words.
I shall plead guilty to partial arsehattery. He might be fully engaged but that’s not mutually exclusive with the possibility of his being somewhat distracted.
I’ve just had to move job after 16 years, when my employer rather charmingly tore up my...
