I was sat next to them in the ESL (never again - not because of the OM fans but due to the complete lack of effort by Brighton fans there) and they were fecking loud the whole match. However, it got very monotonous and I agree that explosive bursts from the crowd are much more exciting...
I was right next to the OM fans in the south east corner and can confirm that there was a main bloke with a megaphone dictating the songs, with about 5 or 6 lieutenants at the front passing on his instructions. I can't deny that they were loud... very loud, and they never stopped, but it was...
Oh blimey not Burnley again... things never seem to go right against The Dingles as I believe they are affectionately known up there in the frozen north...
That is ridiculous... I was at the match and was amazed that so many did make it (two thirds full). Surely you know the majority of our fans don't live in BN1? Our catchment stretches to Hastings in the east, to Worthing in the west, and Haywards Heath to the north.
That sums up the attitude of my Irish relatives; they have had mainly positive experiences with immigrants into Ireland and consider the rioters as the sort of low-life guttersnipes which every city has in its hinterland...
Like most countries in Europe the far right in Ireland (a very small minority) are stirring-up anti-immigrant sentiment among those who aren't benefitting from the high tech boom in the country. The refugees/immigrants are perceived as being handed housing and benefits at the front of the queue...
The £1m house in Ditchling Road claim isn't true, and it is very common for aspiring MPs to campaign in different constituencies until they get elected (or don't). Selecting the appropriate local candidate is always difficult.
Well let's be honest... it is always the North Stand's fault. The NS as the home end is where our noisy support is supposed to start for the other stands to join in with. Compared to most clubs our other 3 stands are noisier than average, but unfortunately the NS is below average for a home end.
I had to be in central London today and so watched the pro-Palestine march pass-by and personally I didn't see or hear any anti-Semitism; the marchers mainly seemed like reasonable people calling for a ceasefire. I also saw several groups of "Football Lads" trying to act like hard-men singing...
I've got a suggestion... if the NSK hear a chant that the bunch under the screen have started... join in. And if the bunch under the screen hear a chant that the NSK have started... join in. I reckon it's best not to sing two different songs at the same time...
"The Casual Scene"... what a loud of utter bollox that was. " Look at me everyone, I've just bought a yellow and pink golf jumper and had some blonde frosting on my mullet...don't I look smashing"
I agree with you Green Cross Code Man... there is a section of people on NSC who roll out the same old prejudiced cliches every time Liverpool (and Celtic for that matter) get mentioned. I've been to Anfield three times with Albion and got on well with the Scousers despite always wearing...
Hark now hear some of the Brighton sing
The Palace walk away under Police escort
And very few of us will ever have a fight with them
Because most of us aren't morons
The only reason to take an Israeli flag to Celtic Park would to be deliberately provocative. A section of Celtic fans have expressed support for the Palestinians for many years as they identify them as fellow travellers who have suffered dispossession and oppression. Many Jewish people would...
