These sort of games happen - a bit of an aberration.
The real question is if we let it flatten us or use it as a kick up the arse. That’s what will determine our season, not one game.
We are not very good at defending transitions. Never have been under RDZ. That’s the exchange for the free flowing attacking football and why we’re often better against ‘good’ teams
In that 45 it just all came in one go, but those signs have been there for a while
When’s the last time you remember an Albion team dropping a stinker that bad in 45 mins?
(we have so much credit in the bank I’m not really even complaining, but that was bad :ROFLMAO:)
I think it’s fair. I do think our style does get some extra plaudits - even when Fulham were above us most pundits still had us finishing higher.
I do also think our play style is more ‘sustainable’ in terms of the underlying numbers and essentially playing like a ‘top’ side. Harder to create...
Like to think I’m not one for hyperbole and think the likes of Mitoma and Caicedo are brilliant but not quite there yet - but Pervis, relative to his position, is another level.
Genuinely wouldn’t trade him for another left back. What a signing and what an upgrade.
If they have done business in the past, then pay up.
But if this was a first into and no terms had been agreed then is simply bad practice on the agencies part.
I would never let anyone on my team share details / set up interviews until that side of things is watertight
I work in recruitment.
If you haven’t signed any terms then they haven’t a leg to stand on. If you have, pay up.
Terms are an actual contract, you can’t agree to them simply by proxy of them sending over the candidate. No agency worth their salt would send a candidate (with name and details)...
Don’t usually watch many games outside of Brighton and the odd top 6 clash but caught the Leeds game.
My conclusion? Thank god for Bloom and RDZ that we don’t have to put up with rubbish like that week in week out!
Very excited to see what this lad can do.
If the club think he is good enough to bypass the loan phase then that’s a very encouraging sign about his ability
