I did a morning round six days a week in the early/mid 80s, not Sunday. Part of it was in a set of flats, so I was terrible for sitting on the stairs reading the papers rather than delivering them. The older residents of the flats used to say "Here's two shillings as a tip" and hand me 10p at...
The north tend to be more vocal and sometimes don't engage their brains before vocalising. Whenever I'm there (and I was there today) there are always people saying "Here we go, they're going to score" every time we lose the ball in midfield. That pessimism isn't vocalised in the other stands...
Bigger queues than normal at Lewes station on the way in, with a train cancelled but then an extra one laid on, so that was good.
We left just past 92 minutes, ran from the west upper to the station and got straight on a Lewes train that left within 30 seconds. Considering what the rain was...
I only went to the North Stand from the 1990s (and the north-east terrace a few times), but I didn't witness any of the things mentioned in this thread then.
Maybe it would be better to say I didn't notice them, as I'm sure some things went on. My guess would be that it was much reduced by the...
The text on the email says:
"Your three match pack can only be downloaded on to one device, so please make sure you only click to download on the mobile device you plan to bring to the stadium every matchday"
Let's hope it works still for those changing phones between the matches.
I don't think it should be part of retrospective punishment, but it should be part of referee training, with them told how to spot this kind of thing. The FA could publicise it when it happens and keep track on which players to watch particularly.
That would probably soon put a stop to it. The...
Wolves were a lot better than Luton and will do ok this season. They were unlucky/unskilled in the first half and I’m sure RDZ knows this.
Still great to be top of the league…
Wasn't quite sure in parts of the first half, but the second half was a lot better - our plan this season is to try and stay to the final whistle and we were certainly enjoyed doing that today!
My guess is if the ST sell out fast next Spring they may reinstate the list again. I will be looking to get a couple then, finally. This year we will be moving around the ground trying to decide where we'd rather be (if we get much of a choice).
Another Brick in the Wall (Part Two) and Comfortably Numb. I've only got those two from the album these days. I have tried to listen to the whole thing occasionally, but the rest of it is awful. Those two are not....
For myself - and remember this is albums you thought were legendary and now think a bit less of I would say "The Beatles" White album. Lots of great songs, but not such a great album. I wouldn't want to listen to it all the way through now that I can just listen to the good tracks on there.
And...
That and Newcastle selling quickly, West Ham and Bournemouth not so much. Is it all down to the away fans?
I had an Evertonian next to me for the game against them last season, which was not the best feeling. He was, however, in his 80s and the only trouble he caused was his scouse cackling...
