Football is ultimately a very simple game and sometimes, just sometimes, ping in a quick dangerous cross and the ball ends up in the net. We move the ball much quicker now but I still think sometimes we overplay things. I demand at least two JPvH dangerous crosses per match for the rest of the...
Magnificent. I may have asked this before but does anyone have a photo of the inside of the portacabin club shop on the site of the old lego stand (was it just there the last few years?) and/or the smaller old club shop which became a ticket office? Would just love to see it again and all the...
Yeah he's talking nonsense and isn't backing down based on his initial reaction to the tackle at the ground which he thought was fair. I genuinely can't figure out how anyone in the professional game can't see that's a dangerous foul. They are however all correct on Ref Watch that it was...
But that wouldn't change. If the lino didn't think they were offside then he wouldn't flag anyway. If he had thought they were offside then he would have flagged before the corner (although I think I know the one you meant and they looked miles offside)
I don't mind the new way and we certainly can't go back to the old method but, seriously if light up flags aren't introduced by Christmas, preferably flashing and multicoloured, then I'm very happy to organise the PBOBE OUT demonstration.
Yep, Team 'Words on Screen' here as well. Like it or not we have plenty of tourists each match and if having the words on the screen means a bit more noise and a bit more inclusion then I'm all for it. Who cares if other fans may think it's a bit tinpot?
I don't mind GOSBTS's new home but then...
There just isn't a world in which it isn't at least a yellow card. It was at least a yellow card in real time at the ground and it's at least a yellow on every single viewing at every single angle.
100%. As I've said elsewhere we had one season where refs actually occasionally added on the appropriate time and the players and managers whinged so it stopped. No one gives a monkeys about the supporters who pay their money. For the 1000th time, being a ref is incredibly difficult but stopping...
I don't. Detestable team.
Naturally again though the goal was scored with about 2 mins of injury time to go and they played approximately 10 seconds after the goal. Drives me absolutely mad.
I was also especially impressed by the whole Dunk foul/Forest offside/injury debacle in injury time taking up exactly 1 min and the ref then blowing for full time on exactly 6 mins of injury time. Idiot.
Leave things alone. It's fine. The beauty of football is that turgid, or indeed entertaining, 0-0 draws are all part of the tapestry. We don't need more goals or more excitement. The whole point of celebrating a goal is that it's special and has sometimes been a long time coming.
Agree. Even though its Attwell on VAR duty I'm quite happy with this "Refs call" this season - only get involved if it's a clanger. Equally if it had been given on field it would have been fine and VAR would have left it to the ref.
