Very much. When they equalised, I was actually disappointed. As the clock wound down, I was sad that we, little old Brighton, weren’t winning against Manchester United. Crazy times and just shows how far we have all come.
I thought a very decent scrap. United, despite failings, are still a very good side with excellent players.
That said, we are a very good side with excellent players and it was good to see us dig in. Very good result.
But there arent many tactics to learn at Everton are there. Ping it to Harrison. Watch a shot hit the post, shout at defenders, ping it to Harrison, concede, shout at defenders (x3).
Another 2 days off after a win (did the same after Villarreal). As long as it isn’t impacting training and tactics, surely this will help easing injuries if this is a consistent approach for the season.
I’d call it professionalism rather than loyalty if he looking to leave the club one may say he isn’t that loyal. But I do agree with the sentiment and it is, if all true, refreshing to see a player making clear they’d like the move but just getting on with things and not being a dick about it.
I seriously dislike this news. I think Barco is excellent and has some excellent qualities which he displayed well preseason.
Plus he has a bit of that South American fire which we could well do with sometimes.
At least it isn’t with a buy option but very disappointed not to see him playing...
If Kadioglu does sign, I wonder what number he will have. He’s been 7 and 16 at Fenerbache and 20 for the national team all of which are gone.
We have 12 or 21 os “low” numbers. Can we use 14 now Osman on loan or is it already “registered”?
And Rutter. Was 24 at Leeds.
My guess(hope) is:
Steele
Veltman, JPVH, Dunk, Barco
Baleba
Wieffer Hinshelwood
Minteh Welbeck Mitoma
Would like to see Pedro, Sarmiento, Cozier-Duberry, Ayari get some decent minutes if all fit.
