Probably proving the point even our own fan base underrate him 😂
I would also agree with you, I think he would have held his own in a top 4 club had he moved at 25-27. The time has now past, he's definitely on the decline a little. 2020-2022 he was probably one of the most consistent defenders...
It also goes a bit deeper than that, the group that own Right To Dream have set up a really clever system to funnel talent from Africa to Europe via a number of clubs around the world. It's worth a read on Wikipedia. I believe this will be the future of football, not that I support it.
Do you think it's more cost effective to train ten keepers than 2 or 3? Once the infrastructure is in place the marginal cost of training an extra keeper must decrease. Another prudent move from Anthony.
Of course I take that view with most the threads on here, and even the idiots arguing on Reddit, Facebook and Twitter. Just popping in this thread and seeing the huge huge posts you've spent a long time creating really drilled home the utterly pointless waste of time it all.
Also, it's not...
4,000 posts, assuming an average of 3 minutes to make each post, is equivalent to one person working full time for five weeks. Imagine what could have been achieved in that time. You could get pretty far learning a language, or maybe read 10 books. Or even volunteer for a charity shop full time...
Why would they be though? We're relatively similar in most aspects. The extra £25m seems to closely fit with the prize money from league position and FA cup run, and maybe a few £m extra from merchandise sales (we thank Mitoma for that).
Perhaps aggressive without meaning to be aggressive, sorry if it came across as aggressive.
However, as some other posters have alluded to in this thread, we wouldn't have 90% of the current talent we have right now if we didn't take punts on these unknown players. I'm frankly shocked there...
They don't have access to our statistics. This is the key. Even if they had all the raw data I doubt they'd know how to interpret it. Until the time teams like Chelsea, Manchester City etc spend millions per year hiring dedicated analytics teams of 10-15 data scientists, we're always going to...
Probably best you support another club then. That's not our style and it never will be (I hope). Absolutely GAMING the corrupt, money hungry modern system that football has become, while simultaneously watching us bedding in and blooding world class stars of the future - well, for me, there's no...
Interesting thread. I wonder if it's easier to objectively measure goalkeepers performance too? Sometimes stats can be misleading for outfield players, but for goalkeepers there are less metrics which are generally easier to measure (and more accurate).
It means "start practicing English". Literally it means what you said but an implied word is omitted at the start, something like 'empieza', so the overall meaning is changed
Unfortunately I don't have an Amazon account, but best of luck. Anyone who does buy, be sure to have a review, this is what helps the most in the long term
Correct. We are used to thinking 27 is "getting on a bit" due to our philosophy, but realistically it's not even in their prime. Back in the 80s and 90s a 30 year old was probably past his best. With advances in health and technology 30 is probably just starting to hit their prime. Look at...
Probably not quite good enough for us. Unfortunately. Seemed amazing against Chelsea last year, and I really thought he'd make it. But realistically he's getting on a bit (for us) and hasn't played enough at the top flight
