    [Politics] Brexit

It isn't sadly predictable that fruitcakes like Steve Baker, who with his ERG pals engineered the worst of all possible Brexits with disastrous effects on the economy, is now doing his level best to produce a health disaster via the CRG? Well done guys - history will be proud of you.

Thanks for the kind words, Artie and Gaffer. I should point out that 2 old gits beat me, one (65-69) registering 19 something. Probably an Aussie.

Perfect conditions at Worthing and an SB 20.38 and all time best AG of 82.07%. I'd be obliged if you could amend the table accordingly, Gaffer.

    [Politics] Brexit

A rather one-sided analysis, surprise, surprise. Sure, these things are changing with Brexit. But life is not quite as simple (simplistic) as portrayed by the Daily Express and friends. For a rather more in-depth and reliable analysis please see...

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

I was listening to a R5 phone-in today about Johnson. A rather dim woman challenged one of his critics to you give just one example of Johnson's 'so called lies'. This would have thrown me - there have been so many you kind of lose track of them. At such a time, this link is invaluable. This...

I've been to cheer on my granddaughter at the Worthing JPR a few times. Can't say anything but positive things about it, especially the volunteers. One particularly good feature is that the youngsters are awarded wristbands when they have done enough runs to be equivalent to a half marathon and...

[Politics] Tories lose overall control of Worthing Council for the first time in 2 decades...

Good point. Could do a lot worse than (Dr.) Beccy Cooper: leader of the Labour group on Worthing Council, a WSCC councillor and also highly regarded specialist in public health.

Worthing parkrun. 21.01/80.57% age grade. 19th out of 290, which is high for me. Age category win and 2nd best age grade in the field. Went out a bit fast into the wind and paid for it later. The winner looked awesome - but no time or name recorded. Perhaps he was embarrassed at hammering everyone!

[Politics] Tories lose overall control of Worthing Council for the first time in 2 decades...

What a vile contribution. Even more so when you acquaint yourself with the circumstances under which the election took place: the charming Conservative incumbent, Councillor Wills, standing down after his alleged association with a (very, very) far right ('white genocide' conspiracy theorists)...

Good news. I suspect that if you do the MP 10 you'll have to be physically restrained from running the whole thing. Which might not be a good thing.

Given that this BBC schedule is just about identical to that of last year's, should they also be showing Groundhog Day as the big movie?

    [Politics] Brexit

Even as a convinced Remainer, I was no fan of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy and even harboured hopes that our homegrown replacement might deliver better green outcomes - and indeed that was how it was sold. Today some details emerged - and received a collective groan for the various...

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

George Freeman, Minister for Something or Other, was asked if there was a party at Downing Street last Xmas. He replied that he didn't know because he wasn't there but that someone who WAS there had told him that all rules were followed. Hang on George.............wasn't the rule something like...

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

Agree: it's important that we don't forget - nor forgive - any of this stuff. But for me the abiding image will be a the Spaffer smugly proclaiming that he was proud to have shaken hands with those in hospital just as the outbreak was taking hold and against all medical advice. Who did he think...

    [Politics] Brexit

I know how annoying it must be when some of us keep banging on about the lack of 'Brexit winners'. So, in the interest of providing an evidence-base and balanced approach to these matters, I've found one. Rosslare Europort has increased it's volume of ferries from 3 to 30 per week since Brexit...

    Welcoming refugees. Well done Brits!

I think that one of the saddest things I've seen for a long time was a news clip of a boat (well, death trap) full of migrants leaving the beaches of France, on the day that many died, and turning to wave at those left on the shore. It was a gesture of such hope and optimism - and god knows...

    [Politics] Brexit

This clip is so gloriously and hopelessly wrong in jut about every claim that it's almost a parody. It would be hilarious - if it wasn't so awful. The British people (well enough of the to vote Yes) were fooled, ripped off and tricked by this nonsense. The snake-oil salesman like the vile Dan...
