So you'll be representing Arena I guess (and NSC of course). I'd have thought you'd be even happier with something like 3k. Sounds good though, and you'll be in with - by definition - top runners.
Are you going to resume parkruns yet and include them as part of your structured training programme?
Rather challenging conditions for parkruns today. I did Bognor which thankfully is not exposed to that wind and escapes the worst of underfoot conditions by virtue of decent paths. However it's never going to be a fast course. 22.00 was an OK return.
Respect goes to a guy pushing a double buggy...
The board has full confidence in you...........Seriously, your track record, including that hellish Ironman in Wales (Tenby, I recall) indicates that sort of madness that can be re-visited for those two upcoming events. Good luck!
Well done - that's a cracking run. I think you'd have grounds to be a bit miffed by that 'extra' 150 m. I can see why they've done it, but Parkruns are by definition 5k, not 5.15k.Good luck with getting that PB................
I've just 'rescued' our thread from the bottom place on page 5. This is the equivalent of the Albion finding themselves on the edge of National League (South). Tragic.
If we can populate it with our weekend runs then we can restore it to its rightful place towards the top of the EPL.
I've taken...
If you get the chance watch Don't Look Up on Netflix. It's a withering satire on what happens when truth loses its traction. It's set in the USA and takes the whole madness of Trumpian-type inspired false consciousness and media disinformation to a very scary place. It's utterly brilliant and...
Of course it is totally the right thing to do to call out the lies that Johnson continues to tell at PMQs. His behaviour is an affront to Parliament. But to expect him to stop it is naive. The guy is a serial liar and this has not prevented him from rising to the highest position in the land...
Braying ranks of Tory backbenchers cheering the Spaffer regardless of what he says but willing to stab him in the back if the opportunity arises. Depressing.
Apologies if someone else has already picked up on this, but Johnson has set out the advantages of Brexit. In a very thin list he includes the fact that we can now put crowns on our pint glasses. When I saw this, I thought it was some sort of parody. But no: he has to scrape the barrel to the...
Worthing Parkrun. Good turnout. Not much wind. 21.20 was a tad disappointing, but with the gift of a birthday just allowed me to scrape over the 80% AG (80.08%). A Portslade Hedgehopper vet woman got well north of 90%.Also a PB from legend Graham Godden who clearly didn't over-indulge over the...
In the true spirit of Xmas which ,long ago saw the troops in opposite trenches lay down their rifles and come together for a game of football, I offer the gift of good Brexit news.
In today's Mail on Sunday, there's an article which forecasts that the UK economy will overtake the French economy...
Well, looking at the scorecard the success of Brexit after 1 year is about as impressive as that of the England team in the Ashes. All the data is pointing in one direction, as are the opinion poll trends.

Job done then - and a cheeky little category win. Saw Gasson's time - pretty rapid in those conditions.
My last run as a youngster of 66 today: 20.57/80.83%. OK but nowhere near the SB I was hoping for. Won't blame the teeming rain but will blame the 1st km of 4.03 which was far too quick.
Just checking out the parking at East Brighton..............
Will do Worthing in the hope of favourable conditions to finish the year on a high. E. Brighton is a slow old course where I made the mistake of 'sprinting' for the line while not realising I had another lap to do.
Take it easy. If...
