Honestly couldn't give a damn about his nationality. I'm a bit worried, though, by his tactical decisions. I'm not convinced the guy who played Loftus-Cheek as a striker and Pulisic as a right-back is the right man for the job.
Coming third in a one-team league with Bayern was quite something...
NGL, I winced a bit when I realised that (despite all our purchases this summer) the only Brighton player on this list is Buonanotte. Pleased for him though.

Lunchtime drinking is still very much a thing here in the Czech Republic. But it tends to be just a single beer with lunch. I usually go for a soft drink instead because once I start drinking, I don't want to stop.
That's the American English spelling, not the British English (or as I prefer to call it, "English") spelling.
Not that it matters in this context, and the person who pulled you up was just being a pain in the arse (pun intended). But they're correct.
The idea that a nation state can own a football club is just mad to me.
We'd obviously think it was crazy if the British government announced it was buying (say) Newcastle or Man City. So why is it any less mad to let a foreign government do so?
(And before people point out that's not a...
I can't find it now, and it can definitely be filed under "scurrilous gossip" rather than anything meaningful, but: I saw a post somewhere a few months ago theorising that Vance had been through "gay conversion therapy". The person who wrote the post claimed to have been through it himself, and...
We need a LOT of attacking midfielders and wingers. I don't see having a lot of those players as a problem at all, when you factor in the need for injury cover, forced substitutions, and tactical substitutions. They'll all get minutes.
Then you have to consider the fact that we're likely to get...
I think these comparisons a) are pointless and b) are missing the fact that Steele is as good as he's ever going to be, whereas Bart is going to keep getting better for a few years yet.
If Steele's content to remain as backup keeper, there's nobody I'd rather have for that very specific role.
They've done well since coming back up, especially since appointing Emery.
But they're a very well-resourced club and traditionally one of English football's big hitters. They're not some plucky underdogs coming good. With the money they've spent, they should be doing about as well as they are.
We now have a decision, the CJEU has ruled against FIFA. I've never felt so stupid as I have this last half-hour or so of trying to figure out what this is gonna mean for clubs like ours in practice. I'm just totally baffled.
I feel like I'd probably enjoy this new format if we were playing in it, but as a "neutral" this year, I'm finding it impossible to care about these games.
I know this isn't hugely relevant in this context, but I just find it weird that people are getting on his case about a mistake in *this* game.
I'd expect (but not condone) that kind of reaction if he made the same mistake in an FA Cup semi-final when the scores were 0-0 in the 90th minute. But...
