[Other Sport] Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics ***Official Match Thread***

Nope although I can understand why you might expect that. To be clear, most British people were very cynical about 2012 before it started and then absolutely stunned at just how good London 2012 was; and the bar was set at the opening ceremony which was unexpectedly breathtaking.

Totally agree. This is just trying to be far too clever for it's own good and is proving to be a mess, whereas London was just a fantastic production.

[Football] Who would you rather do the double over?

Yes a one point difference. What a European tour that is for Palace. I just don't know how we can ever live it down. Whereas we had to put up with finishing top of our European group, beating teams with five European Cups between them along the way, and entering the league cup after they had...

[Football] Who would you rather do the double over?

55% of NSC voters haven't properly thought it through.

The batsman's Holden the bowler's Willey. And Holden is out. 3 for 2. Edit: And out first ball. 3 for 3. Good news - this isn't lasting long.

So the half empty stadium bollocks is about to start on BBC 2. Salt is about to bat. I'll be turning off when he's out

[Albion] Fati another year, yes or no?

Composure in front of goal is something Fati offers that I doubt any of our current young players can match - even Evan Ferguson. That said, although I said yes to the question, I'm not actually sure who I'd expect to make way for him given that we've already got a bloated squad that needs...

[Albion] Fati another year, yes or no?

I would, but that would never happen. He's young, proven and thus would be worth a punt at reasonable wages. But that isn't the situation as it stands. Instead, we've paid huge wages to help get a Barca player up to full fitness (although he is broken again).

[Music] Jane’s Addiction new album and tour

The only time I ever saw them was at Lollapalooza in 1993. Along with Dinosaur Junior and Smashing Pumpkins among others. What a time to be alive.

I always was back in the day. Absolutely loved Ritual de lo habitual and Nothing's Shocking back in the early 90s. But tbh, I had no idea they were still going.

[Albion] Fati another year, yes or no?

I don't hold any malice towards him, but do feel he was bitterly disappointing considering the wages we were paying him. As I understand it, we broke our mould in signing him, and all to keep RDZ happy, for what that was worth. It's not surprising that people are relieved we've not picked him...

    [Cricket] The Hundred

I did a couple of seasons ago. The crowd is made up of Hampshire fans, which includes fans of Salisbury cricket club, parts of Berkshire and so on. What I didn't see was anyone openly wearing anything representing Sussex.

    [Albion] Season Expectations

A lot depends on whether Fab turns out to be a a self obsessed nob half way through the season. If not, I think we should finish 3rd, and win a cup.

[Other Sport] The Biggest Shock in Sports History

Leicester for me. None of the other shocks listed were anything like as remote as 5000/1. I remember enjoying the betting thread in foxestalk as people who had jizzed their annual fiver or tenner on them winning the title found themselves wondering whether or not to cash out as they went into...
