I started taking statins about 30 years ago, a couple of years post type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
My GP called me in and said my Cholesterols are a bit high and wanted to start me on statins. At the time I was on a very steep learning curve to understand what was going on with my body. I was in...
No more than 2 eggs per week.
Pastry, like pies, pasty, sausage roll, etc. not more than one a fortnight.
Oh, and a daily Atorvastatin helps me too ....
Yes, I believe eating can be an addiction, not dissimilar to alcohol, drugs, smoking or gambling. To just say "stop eating so much / wrong stuff" is no different to saying to an alcoholic to just stop drinking, etc.
Never has the statement "easier said than done" been so relevant. I'm sure...
Never mind spirit of the game, there is a specific law covering this.
A batsman cannot be given out run out if he is out of his ground in the mistaken belief he is already out.
IIRC this happened to an England player in a test match in the Carribean years ago. Batter was bowled but did not see...
And who calls a sport football when 99% of passing or running with the ball is in the hand. Yes, I know kicking the ball is allowed, but I'd love to see the stats of how many times during a match the players actually kick the ball, American football vs rugby football vs soccer.

Now hold on old chap ...
I only mentioned Brexit as a comparison to the current Moldova voting that is alleged to have Russian shenanigans seeking to gain them some perceived long term advantage, and merely posed the question, could something similar have happened here.
Not sure if I should be...
Semaglutide is the underlying drug here, marketed under the names listed above. I'm a type 1 diabetic of some 35 years and all my blood vitals are decent, thanks to a cocktail of drugs, with insulin being my go-to life preserver.
As I passed 50 some years ago and lifestyle became more...
Is that like our Brexit referendum, only in reverse?
What was our outcome? 52% to 48% - this one looks even closer.
Now wondering if the leave (for us) was won with a bit of Russian persuasion?
I did a 747 (propper) sim at CAE in Burgess Hill about 30 years ago.
Another nod to Perry Air who looked after my dad a few years ago when he flew in their Tiger Moth. They showed great interest when they found out he had learned to fly in one with the RAF in the late 1940s.
