Just spotted that Interlaker, the new venture of former Lonely The Brave vocalist David Jakes are playing the Hope and Ruin tomorrow night. That's my kick off to the weekend sorted, the singles and pre-released album tracks bear all the melodic epic goodness of the first two LtB albums.
I booked the ticket ages ago, and I have learned from bitter experience that I will always enjoy the gig more than the match. Got home in time watch the game in full having successfully avoided the score.
Went to see Ride at Chalk last night. Utterly superb and I was delighted that the new album was so prominent in the set as it is an absolute belter. The gig will always be better than the game.
I'd say the room for improvement is the biggest positive. We have raised the floor for this team very high now. I also expect the ceiling to be raised along with it. The truth is it was a fractured off-season players returning at different times due to the Euros and the transfer window. Once the...
Given how shit we were under RDZ second half of last season, I’d say an unbeaten start to the season whilst the new manager is figuring things out without most of the new signings available to him is pretty bloody decent. We are fine and nowhere near as good as we will be once things really click.
I thought Julio was good on saturday, he really kept the ball moving. I believe his decision making is improving. Enciso is an exceptional talent and I'd like to think the additional competition will sharpen his mind. The fact is we are now stacked in these attacking positions, this is a tough...
Build it, and they will come. For an island of our size, HS Rail would have huge benefits for us. When the French can make Paris - Marseilles a via day trip (I know I've done it) we should sure be able to connect cities that are far closer. Getting the Eurostar from Brussels to STP and getting...
Well the Commanders finally overcame the Giants and needed Graham Gano to get injured to do it. A very frustrating game that highlighted both the positive and negative aspects of this team. The defense in the first half shocking, missed tackles galore, soft in the middle and non existant...
I've said it before, but I think City will get a points deduction that will relegate them to the Championship. Given all the they have gained through their consistent rule breaking this will effectively just be a slap on the wrist as they will bounce back immediately and then resume normal...
In answer to the OP, No. My office is in Dartford I work at home, I can get loads more done and be more available at home. Not all jobs are suited for wfh but for those that are you can be more productive.
Current bookings for me

The LoveGods @ Prince Albert
Tribe of Ghosts @ Hope & Ruin
Abduction @ Dust
UADA at @ Chalk (edit got my dates mixed up, Abduction Wednesday/UADA Thursday!)
New Model Army @ Chalk will be a gig week decision
It appears he has signed a pre-agreement at the very least. I can imagine if that is the case the Albion will be all over making sure it is watertight.
I really hope you get rid of Watson and the Browns can go back to being a team that neutrals would always look out for. The fanbase deserve better than being saddled with an overpaid PoS as their QB.
And they've known about it for ages and failed to come up with a credible plan for it in the election campaign and manifesto. No-one expects the Tory mess to be fixed instantly, not even I. I do however expect a more serious response than we have to take away winter fuel payments from Pensioners...
The notion that this measure is the only one in town is risible. Other choices are available, equalising CGT, wealth taxes on the millionaire class as well as others. There is a debate to be had here about possible solutions but the government is not interested in engaging in it.
