    General Photography thread

You'll get better and better as time goes by. I spent years with a really decent camera set on auto mode. Then I started watching Youtube tutorials as suggested by a previous poster, and suddenly, instead of the camera settings all being a complete mystery, I slowly got the hang of it, and now...

You'll get much better bokeh (background blurriness), if you can put as much distance between your subject and the back ground. Experiment with macro settings, but I wouldn't go above F11. I like between F5.6-F11. The lower the F number, the blurrier the background, but be careful bits of the...

[Albion] EFL Trophy Quarter Final - Amex, Tuesday 9th January ko 7pm

I'm no expert on this, but I couldn't use the ticket site on Windows 10 using the Opera Browser on my laptop. I used Google Chrome instead and there were no problems. Now I've got Windows 11, Opera works for tickets.

    [Football] Shinpads

In my "Jumpers for goalposts" level matches, some players don't wear shin-pads, probably because of macho vanity. Minor collisions to them result in all sorts of cuts and bruises which shin-pads would have prevented. I don't know how many times I've said to people, "Ask Father Christmas to...

    [Brighton] Old Brighton Postcard

No "safety" fencing back then (visible in the photo). Fencing only started to be discussed in 1976 apparently.
