He will not be English in time.
Would expect Woakes, TRJ, Finn and one of Ball or a Curran to go.
Batsmen wise if Jennings plays the next test he probably has to start at the Gabba. Would prefer to see Stoneman start the next test with Hales at 5. Would keep Ali at 8.
How effective is TRJ going to be on flatter Australian wickets?
Unfortunately Finn or somebody similar who gets pace through the air is going to be needed.
What is the current obsession with Hameed? He can't play the short ball and county bowlers have worked him out, hence low scores this season.
Now I suspect he has the attitude to sort it out, but for the moment he needs time sorting the deficiency. He should be nowhere near the Ashes squad.
Agreed, but you can tell on some fairly quickly whether their technique is up to it. Ballance plays too far back in his crease, Robson was shotless and so on.
Next will be Stoneman.
It was against New Zealand he got a century.
The Aussies had him worked out and he scored a total of 111 runs in 9 innings and was then rightly discarded.
Not all Yorkshire players are of test quality, whatever you and Colin Graves might say.
Hales is not perfect, but probably more suited to it than Jennings.
They seem reluctant to pick Stoneman who is probably the form opener, but Jennings has looked lost.
Bayliss made noises about Dawson coming back in.
However not sure Malan deserves the chop after one game.
Agree regarding Hales at the moment, but it seems the fact he would not tour Bangladesh when his place was in doubt will count against him.
The issue with Ballance is technique. Those centuries all came early in his career before bowlers worked him out. He plays too much on the back foot and the bowlers bowl accordingly.
He has been dropped twice and yet each time he has not sorted out the problem, so time to move on.
He is there...
In theory the fibre can be up to 200g, but not in the environment you need it.
Regarding the copper, I would look at least in putting CAT6 or find some cheap CAT6A on ebay.
