[Football] A nod to Aston Villa

Yeah well done them, but they have spent decent money. So you'd hope for this improvement.

    [Albion] Premier League 5-6/10/24

    Palace lose.

    [Albion] Premier League 5-6/10/24

Jota should have scored there. Very poor from Guehi.

    [Albion] Abdallah Sima

Contract is up next summer I believe, but we have an extra years option according to various articles from when he signed.

[Albion] Sold the best players, shit in defence, shit in attack, with a shit manager and in real trouble

And they've added in some goal music... (skip to 35 seconds to hear & get past the ''best atmosphere in the leagues'' post goal celebrations).

[Albion] North Stand Expansion + Away fans to be moved

If it does happen, and people are unhappy at moving seats then that's totally fair enough. But to mention, I was originally a STH in the east lower towards the south stand and the away fans got moved there for a few seasons. I was asked by the club to move my ST, which was annoying, but the club...

    [Albion] Injuries 2024/25

New doctors not wanting to rush things. Given the attacking talent we have no point in rushing Gruda.

[Albion] North Stand Expansion + Away fans to be moved

When chatting to someone at the Amex I was once told that there is a plan to eventually move the police box to the north east corner, and relocate/remove the offices or dicks bar in the north so that there’s scope to add extra seats. If anything it sounded like revisiting the shelf we once saw...

    [Albion] ******** Brighton U21s thread ********

Well I was looking to know if anyone had actually seen him play…. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    [Albion] ******** Brighton U21s thread ********

Anyone seen Simmonds play this season? There was a fair bit of hype around his ability at such a young age. Wondered how he’s progressing…

[Albion] Why was Fab sent off?

So Fab didn’t use foul/abusive language & didn’t physically hurt anyone, so got sent off for what? Waving his arms?

[Albion] Jack Hinshelwood [9/4/24: new deal to 2028]

Looked comfortable in centre mid, decent performance. & that was an absolutely textbook header. Such great technique. Also, don’t know if I imagined it, but he seems to have bulked out a bit or grown a bit in height… Looked strong on the ball.

    [Albion] Bennett's Field

Hasn't the land already been sold by Mr Bennett to a construction company that after appeal won the right to build this student housing? And so Tony has kind of missed (maybe willingly) any opportunity to buy the land. Or am i misunderstanding the current situation?

    [Albion] Bennett's Field

Think that was just machinery and a delivery of steel for the fan zone.

    [Albion] Bennett's Field

All gone very quiet on the new student housing plan. Any news? That carpark is becoming more of an eyesore..

[Albion] Yet another club to increase ground capacity….

Not that fussed about increasing the stadium now, 32,500 (or whatever we are) is fine. A packed stadium is better than having empty seats for non desirable games. Maybe we ask the question again if we've had another 5 to 10 years of prem football and a few more European seasons. The one thing...

[Albion] Georginio Rutter - singed 19/8/24

Exactly what I said to others at the game yesterday. When Pedro first came in he was bags of energy, and moments of class, but sometimes his decision making was poor which led to missed opportunities when building an attack, him trying to do too much, or running down a dead end. But that quickly...

[Albion] GOSBTS - No words onscreen today

They sang a bit when the drum beat of SBTS first kicked in but were then were quickly drowned out. I sit on the half way line so get a pretty fair idea of the acoustics. Unless you sit next to the away fans. Thought yesterday worked well. Nothing embarrassing about it.
