The Albion keeper that day (Mark Cartwright?) had an absolute horror of a game i seem to recall allowing an attempted catch to basically go through his closing palms into the back of the net at the end where the Brighton fans were stood (and said burger van caught fire)

Agreed at current prem level he’s not quite got it (hence him bidding farewell) however for a couple of seasons him and Stephens completely dominated the midfield against pretty much every team We came up against in the championship....those performances certainly stick in my mind

Mucus? Where i grew up we would have given our left hands to produce mucus....our throats were so dry for lack of water that we collected rainwater in small plastic pots....we lived on a dry, arid and barren wasteland and so it rained so infrequently i can count on one hand the number of times...
Brilliant footage....I was in the north stand as a 12 year old child....the footage outside the north stand at the beginning of the video is exactly how i recall the swarms of people used to come up old shoreham road and spill into the street

On reflection A pretty dire period of time for the Albion on the pitch but watching us home and away was great fun around 1998-2001
