Welcome to the GSP stadium in Nicosia!
Warning: our fans are rebels. They will let off flares and fireworks and will not be observing social distancing.
You may go home with something more than the three points.
On that day - world cup final 1966 - I was operating the scoreboard at Basingstoke & North Hants CC (where we were living at the time). As kick-off time approached, while the players and scorers carried on with the game, I biked home, watched the final, and biked back to the ground to tell the...
Voges sort of slipped under the radar in his short but very successful Test career.
In the Zs we could have had the Netherlands international, our own Bas Zuiderent - just remembered him.
Good effort. I'm ashamed I didn't put Yardy in. Zampa's first name is Adam but I see you didn't need him after all.

This is interesting - not something I have ever thought about before.
Anyway with the wonders of the internet I can see that on the day I was born the top teams were:-
Div 1 - Spurs
Div 2 - Preston
Div 3 North - Rotherham
Div 3 South - Forest (!!!) - we were 19th
Lots of ups and downs since
