Sussex rally with the ball this morning, but Yorkshire declare on 364-8 (148 lead).
Prevents Sussex from taking a third bonus bowling point. First bowling point of the season dropped by Sussex. Legitimate declaration decision though with weather conditions worsening.
Agreed, baffling decision to bat. I can only assume the forecast is poor beyond today too and Sussex brain stormed this was the best approach of winning / securing bonus points.
My thoughts exactly.
Delray was an interesting cricketeer. Scored fast, but rarely went on to produce a match winning contribution with the bat. His bowling was underrated though and was improving. Particularly in the one-day cut during the middle period. Very economical in that format.

Not something I would do, or have interest in.
But all parties in question here consented and are of illegal age? Why an earth are the sun branding this as a ‘sex scandal’?

Sussex win by 12 runs. Middlesex won too.
Sussex’s only hope to quality is to make 14 points, with Kent and Essex also making 14. If that happens it comes down to net run rate of course. Essex and Kent have 2 tough games left. But all 3 results going our way with the net run rate swing is...
Correct. But Middlesex have a chance. 11 needed off 1.1.
If Sussex and Middlesex win, Sussex need 3 specific results for the final round of fixtures to qualify.
Given where Sussex were that’s a remarkable turnaround.
4 - 2 - 3 - 1
Manager: Chris Hughton. Firstly, a gent. Survival, near miss, promotion, survival, cup run & survival. Albion legend.
GK: Ryan - the smallest 6ft man in world football gets the gloves. A lot better than many gave credit for. Many great saves at the Amex.
RB: Bruno - hard...
1) A clean catch
2) Any part of his body touching the boundary before the ball is released from his hand
It’s was very close. Ball was released out of the hand perfectly as his foot hit the rope.
One day Sussex will learn to see off Harmer.
Ridiculous approach up top chasing 164. You’d expect that to be chased with just medium risk taking. A boundary every other over and singles was enough.
Can’t see.
Unrealistic that Chelsea don’t secure another point. Loosing all 6 would be a very long bet.
Even if Chelsea lose all 6, I think 39 may be enough regardless. Just can’t see at least 1 of the bottom 3, and all teams current between 18th and Chelsea ALL getting to 40 points.
Forest is one of our most winnable games remaining, and it’s in 2 days.
Why weaken our team for a crucial fixture? Estupinan plays if he’s fit. He’ll keep playing until he’s not, as should all of our first team players.
