It's a good question although never as simple as salary alone and the more you go into detail, the more complex it becomes, which is why the last few pages exist
But I'm afraid it's dinner time, so I'll leave with when the country is in such desperate state, 'those who can contribute...
You're asking the question of the wrong people. I'm guessing that that vast majority of the more ahem, mature posters never thought we'd get to here
If a certain individual thinks we will, then we will
Given we won't know until the budget is announced what is going to happen with regards to director's salary, dividends, profits etc, and a huge number of other things, I am interested to know how you are certain that the Government is about to '****ing gut you financially' as I would think a lot...
It stuns me that after seeing what Truss and Kwarteng did in just a few hours of complete financial incompetence, @Giraffe and @dsr-burnley are now pushing for more of the same.
Or maybe it doesn't
I watched the whole thing whilst sitting in my daughter's lounge in Swindon having committed to spending the weekend house/dog sitting and am now feeling strangely serene about the whole thing. I suspect this would not be the case had I been in my normal seat ???
Yes. I know a lot about the history of what the extreme right have done, what they continue to do to this day, and the insidious ways they try to get their warped messages across and always call it out when I see it
It's really very simple and we both know the answer. You're a working person, I'm not. You won't get taxed more, I will.
Unless of course you want me to come up with a long detailed explanation of various parameters and definitions, so that you can then use that to find a case that you can fire...
Might be worth you checking the last Reform 'Manifesto' as I believe they had quite a similar approach to the areas you are interested in cutting, and they would definitely pretend to tax you less
