This is a really important point and should breed confidence for the weekend. It was weird. I feared 1-5 when Salah and Nunez came on but it seemed to raise us a level. The weekend isn’t a write off game by any stretch of the imagination

You make all good points, other than I politely disagree with your assessment of Lamptey, I think he’s a really likeable guy but not good enough for us anymore. I’d add that Igor had a good game and takes no blame for any of the 3 goals.

You can’t be largely at fault for 2 goals and offer nothing at all offensively and be deemed to have a good all round game. No sympathy for him for ‘just getting out there’ it’s his job. As a fan I’m allowed to expect players to work their bollocks off for the shirt and call it out when they dont

Welbeck and Mitoma simply class when they came on. Thought Fergie had a decent all round game. Excited by Gruda. Also I’m a big critic of his but I think Igor did well too.
