Got a 20 mile run under my belt on Tuesday morning. My longest run yet. Wasn't helped by the fact I stacked it over an uneven paving slab opposite the Brighton Centre around mile 16. Very glad I don't sit in the West Upper anymore as my legs felt like concrete that evening.
Enjoyed today. First organised half marathon - hit 1:37 so pretty happy with that. Was aiming for 1:40 but decided I could go quicker than the pacesetter when I caught him up. #Zamora
Managed to get out for a 10miler this morning from the bandstand to Rottingdean and back along the underpass. Some cracking waves breaking down there. Adds a little drama to the proceedings. Around 7'41/mile as well which ain't too bad.
Yeah, I'm in on that. Finding it hard to get enough training in as I've just started a new job in London and commuting, but hopefully be up to speed by the day of the race.
Squeezed in a six miler along the seafront this morning. On the last few runs though, I've noticed a dull pain in my right knee, which doesn't hurt as such, but i can sometimes feel for the rest of the day. Thought giving it a week or so's rest between runs would sort it out, but doesn't seem to...
