This is my point though: Gross has a value to us that will far exceed what anyone will offer.
The piece you are missing there is that the club won't stand in they way IF it's right for the player AND the club. Losing Gross for a bargain price because we are being nice to him is not that is it. Come on.
I absolutely do not get this. Why would we out ourselves in a weaker position to potentially loose a critical player? Why do we not need to be in a strong position?
I have not seen a suitable replacement bid on or am I missing something. Again, I would be amazed it Dortmund could afford a player that is so important and one of the top creators in the EPL.
It would depend on the tactics. Having two holding players that don't create much is fine if it is balanced by the fullbacks/wide players and other midfielders.
