Nice gesture by Ajax last night to score a tribute own goal on behalf of Liverpool and the global football community last night. Let’s hope their future opponents follow their example.
Hey good to hear from you and I hope the rehab is going well.
Speaking of old faces, it was also nice to see 7:18 on Saturday for the first time in an age!
Watched The Shining on tv on Saturday - still genuinely disturbing.
Not sure it’s pure ‘horror’ but The Lighthouse is the most terrifying film I’ve seen recently - now on Netflix. Suspect it’s better on the big screen - I’d sit close to the tv to give a similar impact.
The ever excellent Fourth and Church last night. Good to see they were really busy. Menu has changed a bit with more eastern flavours appearing - chicken thighs with kimchi, aubergine/miso - these were great but I prefer the Spanish/ North African stuff. The duck beignets with piquillo ketchup...
Booked Salt Room for Monday lunch - posh fish and chips with mushy peas () carafe of wine and desserts -£20 so it’d better be significantly better than Sky High’s cod and chips and a pineapple fritter.
Great work and a good reminder that today we are three quarters of the way through the year.
I’ve done exactly 1000miles ytd. If I remember correctly I did just under 1000 in the whole of 2019.
San Sebastián marathon cancelled, so that’s a full house of 2020 cancellations for me :-(
Will look at Downland Devil. Holding off from Beachy- definitely on my go do list but would rather do it in a proper year.
We had seven people spread across two adjacent tables at the Shepherd and Dog a couple of weeks ago which worked well - just make sure you reserve in advance.
