YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!
Travel plans have changed. I’m off to the Brixton gig.
Absolutely made up. Really enjoying the new album too. It’s going to be a great night.
And the following week I’ll be off to India for the first time in 19 years and where I spent 4 of the best years of my life...
Have met literally hundreds of famous folk after having worked at Heathrow for 20 years or so. But I couldn’t honestly say I actually got to have a proper chat with all that many.
Steve Van Zandt was a notable exception. Probably had a good 15 minutes chat with him, when he absolutely did not...
In order for any team to really trouble the European places, they'll need to put a good string of results together. That's something we spectacularly failed at last season after the opening six weeks. To really be a force, we need a win at all costs mentality. We'll know a lot more about that...
SPOILER ALERT!!! If you’ve had no contact with Society of the Snow then move on… NOW.
I feel a bit guilty for this one…
I generally read non-fiction. I bent my own rules and got a copy of Society of the Snow after having seen the film.
The film was excellent. Harrowing, obviously, but...
£89 for Pulp at Finsbury Park. Blanched a little at the time but it was worth every penny.
I'd have been prepared to go up to £150 for Oasis but no more. But I was busy on Saturday anyway so it never really got to the existential stage.
Be interesting to see how this match plays out. We didn't lay a glove on them last season. This has arguably come a little early in the season for us, with the new manager and squad still getting to know each other. Still hopeful that we might at least give them a little something to think...
In honour of @Harry Wilson's tackle not quite derailment of the Oasis thread...
I also subscribe wholeheartedly to his views on turning up and catching the support acts.
I’ll be looking to go. Not so much for the band but for the fact that my daughter, who never saw them back in the day can’t wait to catch them now.
We had two amazing nights at Pulp gigs last year. It’s those sort of moments that make it worth the cash.
Chris Sutton basically saying we're small fry again.
We'd best just finish in the top six now to spike his guns. :lolol:
