Chichester parkrun today. Decent, 3 lap course with quite a few turns and a gentle slope. Not the quickest around but certainly not the slowest and worth checking out. 21.39 was a bit better than I was expecting. A category win and an AG which was the 3rd best on the day. My time was the 4th...

Another slap on the collective back of the NSC team in the Weakest Link event. Usual Worthing Parkrun with an OK time of 21.14. Calf and hamstrings behaved themselves. A VW85 did it in under 42 minutes. Remarkable especially in the strong wind.

It's hilly, but the 10k is worse, I understand. I got a personal worst 5k time, but that was with the extra and very annoying bit on the end. Even without that it was around my slowest and that was as much to do with the underfoot conditions as the hills. They apologised for the overlong course...

Madehurst 5k and 10k today in a stunning if very challenging location. I did the 5k which was actually 5.65k. Net effect was a calf strain and thus no Weakest Link for me. Good luck to the NSC team.

Can I humbly suggest that the next time you initiate a conversation with him you please ensure that it will take upwards of 1 minute to complete?

Thanks mate. Apologies for not paying attention at the back. Strapped up the leg and got through a very warm Worthing PR in 20:50, with an age grade of 82%. Suffered by running the 1st km in 4.01 which was silly fast for me.

Gaffer, I'm committed to running 5ks on Saturday and Sunday, so I'll need to check the body on Monday and let you know. Clearly I wouldn't expect you to hold a place for me!

[Politics] Tory meltdown finally arrived [was: incoming]...

Even Ian Dale, a man of the right, was withering in his criticisms of this mob on GMTV this morning. They literally cannot get a thing right: a revolting mix of conspiracy and cock-up.

A bit silly given my injury problems and on the back of a hard 5k yesterday but on a whim entered a 10k in deepest Dorking today. Undulating to the point of hilly and very hot so I was pleased with 44.35 and 2nd place in the old git category. I should add that there was also a 10 mile event at...

Back to a bit of form along the windy Worthing prom today in the 6th birthday of our parkrun. 20.47 got me 24th out of 422. Category win and an age grade of 82.20%.

21.28 on a blustery Worthing prom. 3rd best AG out of 400 runners but mainly just relieved the hammy didn't misbehave.

On a bit of a whim I decided to enter the Horsham 10k this morning. Nice if undulating course and pretty hot. 45.52 was OK but nowhere near winning the category. Brighton Phoenix turned up mob handed including the legend that is the 69 year old Paul Whelpton.
