[Humour] Comics that take me back…

Billy the Fish was a great pisstake of Billy's boots.

[Humour] Comics that take me back…

I seem to recall spreading out the titles across our friend groups. I think we had Beano/Whizzer and Chips and Monster Fun. The Tiger/Eagle/Fireball/Commando was my best friend and his brothers. My Sisters Best friend's family had Dandy/Whoopee/Topper.

    [Albion] B'muff away tickets

It would be great if someone can post the numbers per stand at about 08:45 tomorrow, so those that want to can go to the most likely stand to attempt to reserve tickets. Cheers

[Humour] Comics that take me back…

I remember getting the first issues of Monster Fun, which I loved, but it was one of those titles that got quickly absorbed by other titles.

[Humour] Comics that take me back…

Pretty sure quite a lot of the stories in those comics wouldn't be seen as acceptable to today's audience.

Think it may have just been Tiger and then Scorcher merged with it.

[Humour] Comics that take me back…

Sorry didn't read the OP properly. Never a fan of Rupert the Bear. Way too wholesome. Much more a Beano/Dandy/ Whizzer and Chips family. In my mid teens I briefly dated a girl whose family had moved down from Scotland.. She introduced me to Oor Wullie and the Broons. It's...

Fireball and Eagle. There was a football based one which merged with Roy of the rovers too. I think it had Billy's boots and Hotshot Hamish in it.

    [Albion] B'muff away tickets

I think there were about 200 left for Luton last season and the scramble for that was intense. Thought I had tickets in the basket about 6 times each time i went to complete payment, they'd gone. Hung around for an hour after the frenzy hoping for baskets to empty, but to no avail.

    [Albion] B'muff away tickets

Tier 1 Tier 2 is a massive lottery for this fixture.

    [Albion] B'muff away tickets

This was one I was hoping to get to. Missing out by 5 pts this year. Should have done one more northern trip last year and I would probably have snuck in. Frustrating It does look like I may be just about in with a shot at Brentford though.

    [Albion] Tomer Hemed

I don't think it was. I believe he met the soldiers back then, but didn't post anything about it. It seems he decided to post it now after returning for the anniversary.

Agree the retweet is misleading but the comment was posted 6 days ago and is in reference to what he was told and saw a year ago. I agree it's a totally understandable reaction, and I don't think there is anything wrong with referring to terrorists as animals. The issue is that he's posted...

    [Albion] Tomer Hemed

Yeah I don't disagree. But he has a job where he is representing a football club. His Instagram has plenty of pictures of him wearing club kit. I understand why he's posted what he's posted, but I don't think it's unreasonable, for his employer to discuss it with him.

    [Albion] Tomer Hemed

Sure people post some stuff when they have an emotional reaction to horrific ithings. Calling for someone to die a horrible death, in revenge for their crimes, is not ideal though. Particularly on a platform, where he also associates himself with the club. Club probably needs to have a word...

    [Albion] Tomer Hemed

It's not great. I think it's fairly clear he's describing the people who have committed barbaric acts against his countrymen, and is not a direct comment about palestinians in general. Hopefully the club have/will have a word with him and see if it's appropriate for him to carry on in his...

    [Football] Man City PL Charges

Agreed. I also find them quite boring. I only watch them, when they play against us. I'll watch all of the ther clubs on MotD, but always fast forward their match.

    [Football] Man City PL Charges

What will be interesting, is how far their fanbase will support the club, if they do end up attempting to bankrupt the EPL, with ever increasing, legal challenges.
