I am less worried than I was last season when a crushing defeat felt inevitable beforehand.
Bournemouth are quite good of course, but they're also nowhere near as consistent as we are. I don't think we'll return with no points this season.
The only one who genuinely impresses me is Rachel Reeves. I thought her budget was exceptional given the tightrope her own party and the right wing media put her on. Starmer might yet be impressive. I really want a state educated guy who excelled in his legal career - turned statesman - to...
Not only would our club run a mile from signing someone like Pogba, but so would most well run clubs.
Palace might be interested of course, as they are clueless. Same for Everton, but obviously only if he still demands incredibly high wages.
Just joined BlueSky so need to have a nosey around. I won't bin off Twitter because you can't see replies to posts without an account. But I won't be actively logging on there anymore.
I'm a bit like this. A WFH element is undoubtedly helpful and makes my life easier because it means some of the tedious jobs no longer have to wait to the weekend and a precious Saturday, but I really have needed the once or twice a week in the office for my sanity.
To be fair, dwayne was spot on with the other two, plus Igor WAS shite when this thread was posted.
Lots of embarrassing after-timing going on here at dwayne's expense.
Previously gash player flourishes under new manager shock.
When you see these rumours it is hard to know what to make of them. On the face of it, Dier appears to be a bit shit, past it and probably high wages.
But then, to my eternal shame, I thought that about the Danny Welbeck rumours, and just look at him FFS.
On balance, I reckon this one is...
Also worth pointing out that 4 points is actually more disparate than it sounds. The bottom 4 teams in that group have all lost as many games as they've won. By contrast, the rest of us are all either 5-4-2 or 5-3-3, which is markedly better. So our next opponents Bournemouth are great on...
We've got Bournemouth and Fulham in 2 of our next 3 games - both of those are away and going to be very, VERY tight. Apart from that though, every single game until the last one of the calendar year is outright winnable.
The best thing is that of those 5 clubs with traditionally fewer resources, none of them are playing in Europe - so they all have a chance of sustaining their form. Unfortunately for us, we play 2 of them away in our next 3 games. We'll be putting 4 past Southampton in between of course, so at...
You don't put statues up of living people, by and large. But Bloom will undoubtedly end up with a statue or something like that when he passes away, for his contribution to the city. It has been phenomenal.
I think if you're going to include Arsenal in that 3 then unfortunately you have to include Chelsea too. The clown show has ended there I'm afraid and there's a good chance they'll finish third above Arsenal. For what it's worth I think we have the capability of finishing above both (although...
In which case I'd say there was value on a Brighton league position spread bet, because I now think we will finish 6th or 7th. We're on a par with Villa in my eyes, behind Chelsea but ahead of Man Utd and Newcastle who were expected to compete with us before the season started.
Obviously we...
Ipswich is the one and only game. Wolves was a brain fart that simply won't happen again this season. We were two up with two minutes to play, it was job done.
Reading up the table, we basically beat Wolves yet didn't, we crushed Everton (eventually), beat Man Utd, beat Newcastle. :shrug...
It's tempting to disagree with this until you realise the only games we've lost are against Liverpool and Chelsea who are probably the two best teams in the league.
I wouldn't argue, if only because he's taken less time to get up to speed than the others. Bissouma and Ali Mac took two seasons each to become top 4 level players.
