Why do people keep bouncing really old threads in most cases for no apparent reason?

Are you having a who can bounce the oldest most pointless thread competition?

The thread about two new sites from 2004 was due to me explaining that I dislike Perseus, followed by somebody finding the thread where all the stuff about him and the Pende sight was discussed.

In the very old days, there weren't any old threads to bounce............................
