Martin Rushent RIP

Producer of Human League 'DARE' LP, which of course included their breakthrough hit 'Don't you want me'
Also produced The Buzzcocks on their great records too
For some reason I thought he died years ago........but not so, so RIP to Martin. It's hard to know which is thebiggest achievment for Andrew Gold....the theme to 'The Golden Girls' or 'Build a Bridge to Your Heart'....I'll go with the latter as I'm a bit of a 10CC fan so RIP Andrew.

You may be thinking about Martin Hannett, who died at 42 in 1991 - another punk and post punk producer

A big slice of 80s cheese - I loved this song.

He certainly wrote some memorable pop songs.

Top songmeister, my enthusiasm for him only enhanced by association with the Golden Girls which is BRILLIANT.

They did? What were they? I was abroad so must have missed the UK charts at the time. Are we talking about tunes off the same LP?

More a 70's artist for me.. I think that's when he had most of his success.. though i stand to be corrected.

Big fan. One Of Them Is Me is a criminally underrated song of his.
