This one is hard to explain but if you know the area, you'll know the problem.
Uni round-a-bout top of the A27 slip road, yes that one where the left lane should be a bus lane. But this is post match with cars exiting the Uni. From the Uni to the round-a-bout there are two lanes. Right lane is marked straight ahead (over the A27 bridge) and left lane is marked turn left to Lewes. But no, two lanes leaving the Uni both go straight over. Meanwhile there is a queue from the lights at the ground going back over the A27 bridge. Rather than keep the round a bout clear all cars, and this includes two lanes coming up off the A27 along with two lanes out of the Uni all try and edge onto the round-a-bout causing a jam. And here come the coaches, all ten let loose together, and bang, the round-a-bout is jammed with cars and even worse, rather than give way to the coach that has priority, 4 lanes of cars keep edging through slowly.
Rant over. Added 5 minutes to my journey but the beer in the pub tasted just as good.
That happens every day. Standard of driving in this country

Nothing worse than standing behind a dozen people trying to get on the train when you can see the whole centre of the carriage people free. And that's having fought through the selfish idiots who won't get on the train and change at Lewes, they are just as bad.

On the plus side, full marks to the guard and driver and signal operator who held the London to Eastbourne train at Lewes for 5 minutes so all those could catch the connection after the game who wanted to.

Esp. as people getting off at Lewes need to be at the front of the train, so have to push past them all to get down the platform.

I can kinda understand it, as less likely to get a seat if you change at Lewes, but at least make way to let people get to the end of the platform.

Not quite as irritating but along similar lines are those who seem surprised that they have to move aside to let people get off a packed train before they themselves can get on, despite showing their keenness by pressing the button like they’re playing Mortal Kombat.

It’s like it’s the first time these people have used public transport.

Users replying to threads without reading other posts/reponses also a pet peeve...
Playing devils advocate..... sometimes if you've been away for a day or so, you start catching up on a thread that has 200 new messages. You find one that you agree or disagree with on about message 10. Do you expect people to read to msg 200 and then remember to go back and comment on msg 10?

I think I have never not got a seat when getting the train through to Polegate from Lewes if the is not connection on platform 1. I find enough get off the train to free up seats

The only way this is (partly) understandable would be if the guy was getting off at Moulsecoomb or London Road. In which case you'd want to be positioned somewhere near the door. Ditto if you're on a packed commuter train and want to get off at an intermediate station. Even then its perfectly easy to do without blocking other people. If none of the above applies then, yup, the guy's an arrogant meathead
Thanks for mansplaining
But you are of course correct.
Another bit or arse is people standing in the middle of where the doors open in order to get on first.
I regularly walk straight into them as I get off. Bomp!

In W3D we have the charming chap we refer to as snorty McSnort face.

Seems to always be having a party for one. Eyeballs like saucers and a mouth just as big. Saw him and his mate openly snorting stuff in the toilets a couple of games back and eyeballing anyone in sight, which confirmed suspicions.

Yesterday was seen openly taking some powder in his seat, even offering the bloke next to him some.

Not entirely sure how this behaviour became normalised. Sniffer dogs at the away end, perhaps need more in the home end.
I went for a walk at Sandgate today and the prom stank like a hitch-hiker's arse of skunk. Three lairy planks.
One of them said 'there's a gentleman out for a walk with his camera'.
Since this was an accurate description of me and what I was doing, I let it ride,

Yesterday's example:

Idiot Albion fan blocking a carriage, so waiting fans couldn't squeeze on.

When I pointed out that he was in the way (he knew), he made room for myself and kids to squeeze past - for the benefit of others - but still refused to move down himself.

Must have saved himself 5 secs exit time at Brighton station.

Told my kids never to be like the selfish bellend.

They didn't need telling.
Ha! You should try commuting into London. You’d be in tears 🤣

Then add in the drivers stopping at the roundabout, top of the A27 slip road, or the bridge over the A27 to pick people up into that situation too. This is the sort of thing that club could try to help with by requesting a copper or 2 to be stood there to discourage dickhead drivers.

True, but getting Police there would cost money. Although they do have them on the main A27 some days actually giving out tickets, in particular south bound at the station and bus stop. Think this was mentioned a while back.

Again (!)… I’ve commuted in London for 30 years.

When you politely/firmly ask someone to move down on a commute, they usually do. This Albion fan didn’t.

Some folk have a legitimate excuse not to - eg getting off next stop. In this case, we were all getting off at Brighton.

This Albion fan was intentionally f*cking over other Albion fans.

My message: It’s twattish behaviour. Call it out.

I’m sorry. I was winding you up. I saw your post earlier in the thread.

Mea Culpa.
