Does this mean that all boxing will now be done in (checks internet) Riyadh?
Gosh, I'm not sure what I think about that.
Hang on...
It's.....
It's.....
Nothing.
Nothing at all

There is always a punch up to be had up the Old Kent Road, in any case.

Amazing news for boxing .

Turkey and Dana should be a match made in heaven

Likely the meaningless belts will become ….. meaningless and the best will continue to fight the best

Will be a ring belt which will be the only turkey recognised champion

Buckle up . This is going to be fantastic

There is an all female card on Sky tonight. From the Royal Albert Hall. There have been NO female boxers on any of the seven "Riyadh Season" cards to date. Quelle surprise.

Top of the bill is a world title unification bout between two Olympians, Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price. It will probably be Jonas' last fight if she loses. Also on the bill is "Sweet" Caroline Dubois. She is nasty!

Natasha Jonas v Lauren Price : IBF, WBC & WBA Welterweight Titles
Caroline Dubois v Bo Mi Re Shin : WBC Lightweight Title
Karriss Artingstall v Raven Chapman : 10 Rounds Featherweight

Royal Albert Hall, London , Sky Sports Main Event (19:00), Sky Sports+ (19:00)

In other womens boxing news, Jade Jones has retired from taekwondo and has applied for her pro boxing licence. Interesting!

ETA Olympic bronze medalist, the refugee Cindy Ngamba was supposed to be making her pro debut on tonight's card but had to withdraw on medical grounds

Why does having a boxing league affect the existing belts?
there are too many belts and too many champions

the aim will be to have a recognised champion in each division and they have to fight the best. Like UFC

Everyone will have to get on board.

Boxing is great but is broken , since the Saudis got involved theyve done some incredibel things. This is genuinely exciting.

Suspect it will take a year or 2 to take shape but exactly what is needed
