I would suggest that for some petty offences, it should be compulsory to attend certain social events, such as any Southampton or Man united home game. Force the buggers to use and pay for the train themselves too to get there on bus replacement days.

I applaud a more imaginative approach to sentencing. I guess if someone was GPS tagged and knew they would go back to prison if they went to the pub it could work.

The mandatory work part of it makes sense as well. Obviously tough to place them though

Two of the charming fans who tried to attack me for confronting their homophobic chanting before that glorious RDZ 4-1 win over Chelsea got nicked and fined.
I'd rather they'd been strapped to seats and forced to watch the game in the company of our most fabulous fans.
