To be fair @Uncle Spielberg , there are far less mercurial Albion fans than you who were beginning to waver when it came to our manager.

All I'll say is that if our season falls apart from here on in, it'll be worth remembering that this is his first full season in the league and he'll learn from it.

Good speech from Hurzeler there. It is remarkable how he and the club have responded since the Forest stuffing, truly remarkable when you consider how young he is and how we have put this run of 5 wins together almost entirely without our captain and leader Dunk.

You can see clearly how collectively the players have stood up and responded, almost to a man, rising to the occasion.

Repetition is a basic principle of trying to get your message across in a speech.

Why does he repeat everything he says ?
Reminds me of the old story about when Ossie Ardiles and Rikki Villa signed for Spurs after winning the 1978 World Cup with Argentina.

At the squad’s first pre-season training session, Keith Birkinshaw held up a football and - pointing at the goalposts - said “Ball. Goal. Ball. Goal” in very slow, deliberate English.

After a few moments, Ossie Ardiles said, “It’s ok Mr Birkinshaw. Me and Riccardo speak perfectly good English” whereupon Birkinshaw replied, “Oh - I’m not worried about you two. This is for the rest of them.”

Showed me thinking he had lost the dressing room.

But how on earth were you to know otherwise? After signing a load of young players and a new manager who's adapting to the new team in a new league, we dropped to mid-table, so of course the natural assumption should be that owner doesn't know what he's doing and the manager was out of his depth and had lost the dressing room.

Was that at the Newcastle match or a friendly at Whitehawk ?

I was wondering due to the size of the dressing room.

It's an extraordinary turnaround.

It's not just the results but the manner of the performances. The defending, togetherness and counter attacking.

Fair bloody play.
As so many of us keep on saying, it's a new extremely talented but young and inexperienced squad including the manager. It was always going to take time and a few f'ups to get the right approach. I don't think we are close to our full potential. If TB can hang onto this squad then next season will be record breaking, aside from just the joy of winning some silverware this is why an FA Cup win is so bloody important. A way to go yet, but let's hope.
