Our most important game of the season so far. I do hope that our international starts get a bit of the Alex Ferguson "injuries" to keep them travelling all around the world just days before it kicks off. How many Forest players get call ups ?

I also see Palace have a 21 day rest before their tie ????
Yeah they were scheduled to play Newcastle Next weekend.

If anything is written in the stars, it's that it's their year.

I'm trying to wake up a part of my memory from 1978, or there-abouts.
We played Coughies Forest away and he said some bad comments about us and the match. It gee'd up the team for promotion that season.
Only match I can find is a League Cup QF match at Forest in December 1978 that we lost 3:1. They were now in the top league.
Anyone else remember the details?
Not sure if it’s the game you are referring to but we beat Forest 0-1 at their place to end a 50ish home match run avoiding defeat. The pitch was a quagmire and I think Gerry Ryan scored an early goal?

Yes, I remember that one - and I seem to remember Clough wasn't very impressed.

Think you're right, I'm sure we won the game I'm talking about. In that case it was AFTER we were promoted and November 1979 in the top tier (Division 1).
We won at their ground after a record of P14 W2 D3 L9
After Clougie had a go at us we went on a run of 5 wins 3 draws and 1 loss in the next 9.

How many have we got who'll be called up? Realistically?
