RIP. His solo stuff was equally as good as the early NYD. Even the Buster Poindexter albums were good fun.

I vividly remember seeing them perform Jet Boy on the Old Grey Whistle Test, and buying it the next day with my paper-round money.

My enjoyment of their performance was sadly matched by the homophobic abuse my old man hurled at the TV screen throughout.

Bob Harris has been a dinosaur pretty much all of his ‘career’. Yes he has presented some great music over the years, but IMO he’s always been a patronising prick who thinks he is somehow a great in the music industry.
