Harsh. It is 100 miles (and that route is shite with hardly any motorway) for a televised early evening kick off - and they returned one block.

Fulham took a LOT less to Wolves.
How did we do in away games when we hit our purple patch under RDZ, I seem to recall getting away tickets anywhere was problematic. Bournemouth are in a similar place to us back then.

We did OK as loads were still point harvesting in case we got into Europe again

Hmmm this is the best team in their history and they couldn't sell out.

And a 100 miles is nothing !
There were almost more of them in the ground than our own fans 5 minutes from the end - so disappointing that so many didn't stay to see the end of a match that was on a knife edge. I'll never understand it, even allowing for the travel issues.

Agree. Plus they all needed to be in the Brighton area by midday to stand any chance of making KO as is the way with our terrible transport options!

You'll never understand because you live close by, but for anyone travelling more than 10miles has to allow for a 3 day round trip / it's possible to get to continental capitals quicker than the Amex sometimes! ;)

Sure, I totally get that - but why bother at all if you're not going to wait to see the killer unmasked? Still, each to their own but it was bordering on ridiculous last night seeing the ground half empty as the tension was at its highest.

Believe me, for some travel to a midweek away game really isn't 'nothing'. I almost managed to miss the kick off last night leaving Portslade at 5.50pm
I did 60 miles yesterday after arriving back from the states with about 2 hours sleep. Great getting down , but didn't get back until after midnight as I stayed until the end....

I left at 85 minutes due to the travel issues.
I got home at 11.30
I wasn't feeling all that well.
I am old
I care more about the points than I care about seeing us finalize them
There was another reason that slipped my mind....
Oh yes, I'll do what I want. Because I'm worth it.

(and we left Fav at 3.50. So that's nearly 8 hours of my fast-vanishing life I'll never get back).
