That there has been virtually no rumours about Van Hecke leaving is another evidence on how poorly run the big clubs are.

Certainly dont mind it though
His pace would be a concern for them. You could see that at times last night. Having Lamptey at RB helped minimise that a bit.

Ideally, JPvH needs quick LCB to partner him in the long term.

I don’t actually think players need huge pace at the highest level. The attacks they face are different- the number of attacks, the style of attack. JPVH would be immense for a ‘top club’.

Nah, the top teams condense the pitch and play with a high line. You are even left 1 vs 1 in the high risk top teams.

van Dijk and Konaté are what the ideal modern CB looks like. Tall, strong and quick, while being composed on the ball.

I really like JPvH, but his pace is a weakness. He's brilliant on the ball and has the right body type.
