[Albion] Is there a delay until a ticket shows up on the Ticket Exchange?

Hi there, new member on the forum, and new brightonian (just over two years).

I got a regular ticket + a guest ticket for the Arsenal game, but need to assign the guest ticket to someone else as the original person can't come.

If I understand correctly, I need to release that guest ticket on the ticket exchange, and then immediately try and snap it up. So my question is: is there a delay from the moment I release that guest ticket until it shows up? Basically am I going to release it and then it'll show up randomly a few hours later and someone else will take it? 😓

And bonus points, am I actually going to be able to get that ticket with my same account since I've just released it, is it going to force me to recall the ticket release?

Thank you in advance!

Is that right though? I thought they only sold TE tickets at adult pricing? So in theory the club makes more from them than other tickets, even with the refund?
That certainly used to be the case but haven't the club recently changed that? I'm sure someone posted an image on here in the last few days of TE tickets being available for discounted categories.

I stand to be corrected though.

The ticket website still says adult only for the Fulham game as the exchange is open for that match.

I think 'favour' tells the story here, and probably explains the misguided entitlement.

Tell me, have YOU paid to watch a one-off match somewhere else recently?

And have you looked at prices of other Premier League season tickets, especially in London?
I certainly think London games are completly different. 100s of thousands of visitors every day that will be interested in going to games. Apart from odd game in Germany I only watch Albion games. I have business contacts in many parts of UK and attend several away Albion games as a guest (not hospitality ) of a home ST holder who always seem to be able to pass on an unused ST from there circle. Something I am unable to return the favour when there sides comes to Amex.
I have watched Albion twice at West Ham with a ST holder who has 2 tickets one in his name and one in his mothers who never attends and he takes a different person each game.

Only one off games i go to are in Germany when visiting.
As I have many business cintacts round the country see many away Albion games as a guest of these people. Not in hospitality. I always have use of someones ST that didnt go. Unfortunatly unable to return favour at Amex. I know a West Ham ST holder who has 2 STs and takes a different person to each game

This is what I saw posted on here the other day (posts #192 to #195) suggesting concession tickets on the exchange are available at a concession rate.
I’ve never seen any marked with a star (possibly a family stand thing?) My mate has put his sons ticket on for tonight’s game but I can’t check as the exchange obviously isn’t open.

Yeah, I meant have you compared prices of season tickets (to London clubs), or for one-off games?

You think you're doing the club a massive favour paying for a season ticket 'in advance' (actually just a few weeks in advance), so you should set the rules of what you do with your ticket.

I'd say, we get pretty good deal compared to many (and the luxury of interest-free payments, of course) so it's mutually beneficial.

This season's cheapest adult prices (and rises):

1Arsenal+10.2%£1,073
2Tottenham+6.1%£856
3Chelsea+8%£810
4Liverpool+2%£713
5Newcastle United+10.3%£662
6Aston Villa+4.9%£640
7Bournemouth+7.3%£633
8Fulham+4%£619
9Brighton+5.3%£595
10Manchester United+3.6%£579

(And Albion's concessions are much better than many)

Meanwhile, the cheapest one-off adult ticket for AFC Wimbledon v Bromley - in League Two - this weekend is £34.

That's roughly what Albion v Bournemouth is costing me tonight - two teams in the Premier League chasing Euro places. Bargain.

As for your West Ham mate, if the club aren't aware of who's in the seat, he's breaking the club's T&Cs, new Premier League rules and (probably) the law - just the same as at the Albion.

.....and none of the others include travel

The club's ticketing strategy is now fairly simple and well established.

If you think you may want to buy the odd ticket to a game, get a Fan Number, this is free. This will enable you to buy tickets on general sale, allow a STH mate to to get you a ticket in the guest window, or pick up a ticket on the exchange. Also any home ticket purchase history may give you access to the odd away game too.

If you can't commit to a ST but fancy a few games a season, become an Albion + member or what ever it is called. This will allow you to buy home tickets and give you access to an away ticket window, and in the case of northern games a decent chance of an away ticket.

If you are really keen you can of course buy a ST. If you can't make a game for whatever reason you can list your ticket on the exchange and maybe get a refund if the ticket resells. If you have friends or family that you would like to share your ticket with, make sure they are signed up to Albion+ pay the admittedly irritating fee and you can do this on multiple occasions a season.
Of course a ST also gives you the best chance of away tickets, European games and of course the Cup Final in may.

None of these things are complicated or controversial.
You are not in retail are you!

I think the ones marked with a star are tickets that haven't come through the exchange, i.e. original Tickets that haven't sold
I'm not so sure...

Opening the sales page for Fulham at home and none of the tickets are starred. However all current seats are direct club sales, and can be allocated to any age category. It would seem strange to only turn that bit on when the exchange becomes active.

If there has been a system change to allow concession exchange tickets to be sold at concessionary prices, that would be a real positive step.

But i was astounded by the amount of empty seats last night after 3 wins on the spin.
Ahead of the game, based on 4,000 unsold tickets for the Chelsea league fixture, my guess would have been in excess of 5,000 empty seats last night. From watching at home, I think that was accurate.

I have no query with ST prices. However I see someone has indicated we also have free travel May I remind that person that from the start an ammount was added to STs to contribute to this. I would estimate attendance last night wouyld more likely have been about 18/20k if all were paying matchday prices and no travel concessions. Certainly have little interest in what other clubs charge but if you want to go down that route and quote Wycombe I will quote Bradford City an ordinary side in Div 2 who get gates of 15/17k because they charge peanuts for STs. and maybe for matchday tickets.
I may tot agree with several issues but I accepted situation a long time ago and only join in when subject comes up.
Many have used the exchange but the biggest winners are the club in new memberships, and an extra ammount on ticket sale. I just think club should give more leaway but only on games that are sold out. I would suggest that ST holders should be able to pass ticket on (only to sold out games ) 3 times instead oF 1.. Also person you give it to does not have to be a member.
To sum up when we have a big game last night and there are about 5k empty seats the present system is not working and could do with a tweak

Although I may not agree with some I accepted a long time ago that now we are in PL the aim is always look at ways to increase income
