Quote from the article "In fact, it could even be argued that he'd thrive far more in the Seagulls' possession-based style rather than in a Southampton team often forced to sit deep despite their ambitions."

Initially I thought they've stated the bloody obvious, as anyone would thrive more at Brighton than at Southampton. But it's a testament to Dunk's ability that he has managed to thrive in both sitting deep and possession based systems. I'm sad to see his powers waning, but Harwood-Bellis is a good age and pedigree so may be a very sensible signing at the right price, although he hasn't always been first pick at Southampton is a slight concern.

He’s been pretty much ever present in the league for Southampton for the last 2 seasons. Started 40 games in the Championship while on loan from City (his loan was sorted until after the first 4 games). This season he’s started 22 games, been a sub for 2 (one of those was Chelsea this week when he came on at half time having missed the previous 2 games injured) the only other game he’s missed was through suspension.

I thought he looked decent against us at the Amex.

Fair point, I wasn't sure if the occasions when he hasn't started were due to injury or tactical reasons. Trust the process and all that, if he signs I'm sure the team would have done a lot more research than any of us

True story - from someone who could name virtually every player from the top two divisions in the 70s and 80s, - I was astonished while watching an England match last year to find that a bloke had just scored for England at Wembley , before I had ever heard of him. His name was Harwood-Bellis. I didnt notice him come onto the pitch, and the very first time I ever knew about his existence was after he'd scored for England. He could have been a fan who'd run onto the pitch, for all I knew.
It would be ironic if the Albion sign him after that :)
