Just a heads up for anyone unaware of the complete closure of the seafront A259 between the Aquarium and West St on top of additional issues at the Steine for road works.
Traffic has been locking up all through the centre of town and even up into Hanover so I suspect access to the Racecourse Park and Ride could be sticky as everyone tries different routes. Plus it's a 7:30 KO which chucks us further into normal evening rush hour issues.
I may come in by donkey.

Let me know tomorrow. I'll pick you up at the Pepperpot. Bring the carrots.

Brighton
Coming in from Uckfield and the queue at the roadworks just in from Earwig corner, Lewes, was 35 mins last week. Was in Brighton today with no cars on Kings Road. Was lovely, able to park anywhere knowing no traffic wardens around. Sneaked in through Trafalgar St / Queens Road and down. Out via Queens Road & North Road but looked bad as people were diverted up Church St across to North Rd and down Queens Rd.

I saw that last week when heading north out of Lewes on the A26. So very often over recent years roadworks on Malling Hill in Lewes.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
This morning between 9.30 am - 11.15 am, the traffic in Edward Street and everywhere just west of there was horrendous. Luckily, I was on foot. No traffic moving, an ambulance with blue lights on stuck amongst it. If you're in a vehicle, I would avoid around there at all costs until the seafront road is reopened.

I got stuck in this after the 3 way lights by the recycling depo were all stuck on red, ended up just driving through the red after 15mins and watching everyone just sat in their cars. This was about 730 so f*** knows how bad it got

:dunky: Don't mention any sneaky routes!!!

Upper Hollingdean Road also has temporary traffic lights. As does a small part of Bear Road & a road in Hove somewhere off of the dials that I can't remember the name of!

Flippin' Nora! What a farce!

Glad I can fit a walk over Seaford way then wait for a train in the superb bar on the platform at Seaford Station. I will certainly not be criticising absentees or latecomers who have had to work the afternoon.

Going home may be more interesting, at least it appears dry for the bus queue!

Oh without wishing to make it sound all doom and gloom, Coldean Lane is completely open both ways after 4pm. (y)
