Bonjour pedaleurs du NSC.
I'm planning a 4-night cycling jaunt around Aquitaine, flying in and out of Bordeaux in September. Does anyone have any recommendations for particularly good routes or spots? Currently thinking about following the Dordogne, towards Sarlat kind of way, visiting a couple of chateau vineyards and generally meandering - but any ideas welcome. Merci

Probably of no interest to anyone but me....but, I started collecting baseball cards etc a while ago, and every now and again check on eBay to see whats new.
Found these last night - an entire set of 74 Topps cards from the 1988 cycling season. Only £8, so had to nab them - especially as other sellers are putting up individual cards at over £4 each. Definitely some names on these that had been long forgotten! Look forward to going through the whole set, reviving childhood memories, and displaying them properly.

I wish I did, but not been down that way since I was about 10. Sounds great though! 🙂 Which reminds me.....this started in Bordeaux last week ⬇️

Dont know if anyone else caught it last week, but this new series started on More4, (Mondays at 9pm). Hugh Dennis and David Baddiel spending a couple of weeks meandering across the South of France by bike. More about the scenery & history than it is the riding - but its gentle, easy going silliness. My kind of riding these days tbh.

I’m not that thick LOL. I used to go by that then read online the thinking is to go substantially below.
Apologies but I probably bodged what I meant to say. If you lower pressure the ride becomes more anaerobic. If I had not been careful I would have ended up with even worse beefcake legs.

Thanks, that's something new to know, I'll stick to higher pressures then. Other than cycling to Amex games, I do it for CV exercise.
